Winter Nights:

Welcoming Families with

Warmth and Care

We’re just a few days into hosting the Winter

Nights Shelter Program, and already our

campus is filled with warmth, hospitality,

and the spirit of service. From October 27

through November 10, LOPC is hosting

Winter Nights Shelter to provide a safe and

welcoming space for families experiencing

homelessness in Contra Costa County.

This program requires the support of more

than 200 volunteers, and we’re incredibly

grateful for the many members of our

community who have stepped forward to

serve. If you’re still hoping to participate,

there may be a few openings remaining.

Please visit lopc.org/registrations or

contact Michelle Browning at michelle@

lopc.org.

Save the Date:

love does Day

February 22, 2026

love does Day is our church’s special day of service, bringing us together to

serve through projects both on and off campus that support our local mission

partners across the Bay Area. As this tradition approaches, we invite you to

start thinking about how you might join in serving others next February. More

details and volunteer opportunities will be coming soon. For now, mark your

calendar and stay tuned!

Thank you for all you did to make the recent bedding/linen and stuffie drive

such a success for the Extended Family Program (EFP). We had five carloads

of items. The amount of stuffies was amazing. The volunteers at Walnut

Creek United Methodist Church were so appreciative.

For over 30 years, the EFP has been helping families move from

homelessness into stable homes by furnishing their apartments with

essential items.

Note of Thanks from EFP’s Bedding/Linen Drive
